Sunday evening service

Sunday, April 30th, 2006
Tonight I had the opportunity to sing a solo in church.

I sang one of my favorite songs written by Dr. Bob Jones Jr.

(actually I believe Dr. Bob meant it as a poam)
It was put to music by Joan Pinkston and dedicated to my
voice teacher Dr. Bill McCauley

My Song

Thou, Whom seraphs joy in praising,
Thou, Whom angel hosts, adore.
Can my stammering tongue be silent
When I owe Thee so much more.
All undone by sin and evil
Child of condemnation I,
Yet Thou laid aside Thy glory
And for me came down to die.
Heir of heaven Thou has made me,
Bought me with Thy precious blood,
Took the form of man upon Thee
That I might be child of God.

So my song must swell the chorus
While the angels’ praises ring.
I, a sinner saved
and pardoned,
have more cause
than they to sing.

“Let them eat cake”

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

The Morning Services message by Pastor Collard was out of Titus 1
After church I went by Pembine Food Depot and picked up some chicken for lunch.

This rainy afternoon I am baking cakes for two of my classes. I will be making 4 cakes today and frosting them Monday afternoon.

Tis the season!
I have 2 Class Sections meeting at the Grind tomorrow night around 7:15 - 7:30 and I am treating them to drinks and cake. I am looking forward it!!!

Begining my time line experiment

Saturday, April 29th, 2006

Since BlogSpot will allow you to “post date” entries I am going try creating a timeline similar to what I have created with my “GooglePages” experimental timeline. Apparently Bogger will allow me to change the date and time going back to the year 1990. While I would of liked to have gone back further than that…this works for now!

Xanga vs Blogger

Saturday, April 29th, 2006

Well it looks like I will settle on using Goggle’s BlogSpot rather than Xanga.

I do like some of the features in Xanga; but I really like the fact that I can “post-date” or back fill my online journal using BlogSpot.

I am going to experiment with using a BlogSpot for a timeline. I have begun a new separate blog that will act as a “time line” until the year 1990. Using a BlogSpot allows me to have family and friends post comments on the individual events.

Springfest at Northland

Saturday, April 29th, 2006

Today was Springfest at Northland. I drove on campus for a little while this afternoon…just long enough to take some pictures. It looks like we had a great turn out…and everyone was having a great time. The location this year was fantastic.

Northland Links list

Saturday, April 29th, 2006

Part of what has insprired me to begin this research and reflections on digital diaries or online journal’s was driven by my own need to meditate on where I am at and where I am heading.

Also, the trouble and conflict that has happened at NBBC with Xanga, MySpace and Blogs.

This is/was and area that I knew very little about

I began by creating a page with a table containing links that I discovered by following other links off of other pages. (As of Apr. 29, 2006 I have approx 110 links) Northland Links
